Introduction
A good flagship phone on a budget. In this post, we have the review of Asus 6Z. So let’s find out what the experts say about Asus 6z!Â
Quick Specs:
Asus 6z comes with 6.4 inch IPS LCD screen and powered by the Qualcomm flagship Snapdragon 850 processor. It comes with the Adreno 640 GPU and comes in 6 or 8 gigabytes of RAM. Asus 6z has that unique dual flip camera and a massive 5000 mAh battery.

Detailed Review:
User interface:Â
Asus improved their interface, previously Asus devices didn’t have the best user interface but this time user interface close to stock Android and they call it the new zen UI 6. and in fact, it is almost like stock Android and even you have the Google pane on the left side, so they didn’t try to customize and do anything fancy.
Build quality and design:Â
Now let’s talk about the build quality. Here also the build quality is, and the moment you pick up the phone, you get that premium feel. It feels like a real premium device with an aluminum chassis and a glass-back design.
There is a unique key on this phone that Asus likes to call a smart key. All the keys are actually on the right side, and on the left side, we don’t have any keys.
The smart key by default launches Google Assistant, but you can customize it. It has FM radio functionality on this phone and also in terms of the SD card it’s a triple slot so you can put two nano sims and a
dedicated micro SD card on this.
Screen quality:
Asus 6z went with 6.4 inch IPS LCD. The screen is full HD plus screen and is an excellent quality screen. The colors are very accurate on this one, and it’s also HDR compatible, so in terms of screen quality, have no complaints at all. But it’s not an AMOLED screen, but the brightness level is good at 600 nits on the screen. Auto brightness calibration is done very well in this device. It has all the sensors and stuff that you can expect from a flagship phone. Another small thing is that this phone has a physical LED notification light that glows in two colors, which is pretty useful.
Performance:
As the UI is almost stock so you will not notice any issues or any lag in this. In terms of RAM management, RAM management is excellent in Asus ZenFone 6z. Apps won’t get booted out unnecessarily, and memory resident apps that need to be in memory will remain. So the RAM management is done very well in this device.
There are no heating issues with this phone and also for gaming, it can run all the games you throw at it without any problems because of the Adreno 640 GPU that this one has.
Battery life:
Moving to the battery, this is a big thing on this smartphone. It comes with the massive five thousand mAh battery which you can’t
see on any other flagship, and that really delivers in terms of performance. In terms of battery life, you can expect one
and a half to almost two days of juice. So even if you are a heavy user, it will easily last a day.
Audio:
Asus 6z retains the 3.5 mm headphone jack on this one, and the audio output via the headphone jack is really very good. It also has stereo speakers as we see on most of the new flagship smartphones, so you are getting a good stereo speaker here as well. The main speaker is at the bottom, and the earpiece also acts as a speaker when you are playing back youtube videos or any other content.
Camera:
Now let’s talk about the camera which is the most significant selling point of this phone. Asus 6z has a full view display, so we don’t have any front-facing camera. At the back, you have two cameras one is a 48 megapixel and the second camera is a 13 megapixel wide-angle lens camera. When you switch on the camera and switch to the front-facing camera, the mechanical back camera flips, and that actually becomes the front-facing camera. The volume rocker is used to move this to any angle you want.
Now let’s talk about camera performance. The camera performance is excellent, and the pictures are sharp and perform excellently in natural lighting. But when the light goes low or in indoor conditions, images are slightly soft, and even the white balance is up somewhat, which might with software updates. Since the rear-facing camera is itself the front-facing camera, so you get excellent quality selfies. It is the best selfie camera present in the market at the price point. It doesn’t have OIS, but the EIS works pretty well on this.

So let’s move into the things that you might not like about the phone(The negatives) :
Camera:
This phone does not have optical image stabilization so, in severe lighting conditions, it would have done slightly better with OIS. But of course you have electronic image stabilization, and the video is very stable. Also, the flip camera makes some mechanical noise which somebody may not prefer, but that’s entirely a personal preference. The camera as we mentioned earlier in low lighting situations can become a little bit soft so that is one thing hopefully ASUS can improve with an update.

Display:
In this price range, phones are generally coming with the AMOLED screen, but we do not have AMOLED screen on this one. But again nevertheless this is a good IPS screen, and it also
supports HDR, and it’s also very color
accurate as well.

Speaker:
If you compare Asus ZenFone 6z’s stereo speakers with
established flagships like the Samsung
Galaxy S10 plus or the iPhone they have a lot more depth which you might miss in this phone. But by no means, the speakers are bad. Instead, this phone has the best speakers while listening outdoors with the outdoor mode turned on.
Conclusion:
To summarize, we would say this is a very convenient phone. Asus 6z has a lot of features that we as consumers are missing in flagships. For example, it has that huge five thousand mAh battery, so even for very heavy users, it’s not going to be a problem. Also, it has that dedicated SD card slot, so you are not forced to buy a higher-capacity variant. It has a physical LED notification light, and for vloggers and people who are into selfies, this is the best vlogging smartphone because the
rear-facing camera is the same for selfies. So you are getting a 48 megapixel camera for both the rear-facing and front-facing. You can even use the wide-angle lens to get
that wider aspect while capturing videos. Overall it is a value-for-money phone.
